Cairo Illustrated

Artist Nora Zeid, having spent most of her life in the Gulf, reconnects with Cairo through her Cairo Illustrated series. This collection captures moments of the city’s bustling streets, frozen in time through black and white illustrations. With a focus on the intricate details of Cairo’s chaotic, layered landscape, Zeid slows down the city's sensory overload, transforming it into abstracted, yet richly textured scenes. A Dubai-based illustrator, Nora has worked with notable clients like Google, Estée Lauder, and VICE, and her work has been featured in exhibitions like Cairo Prints Exhibition - Edition II (2021) and the SIKKA Art Fair (2019).
