Mona Elzik

Mona Karim Elzik, born in 2003, is a Cairo-based visual artist, painter, and illustrator. Growing up abroad, she used art to stay connected to Egypt, fostering her passion for urban sketching and photography. On summer visits, she meticulously captured her surroundings in a sketchbook. Mona's work is deeply inspired by Cairo's historical and architectural identity, which she regards as her muse. Holding a B.A. in Political Science from the American University in Cairo, she integrates her academic background with her love for architecture, offering a visual commentary on urban life. She currently works as a researcher and independent artist.
