Hassan Ismail

Hassan Ismail is the founder and a managing partner at DUCO, a social enterprise dedicated to the promotion and facilitation of public art. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Cairo University and a Master of Design Research Studies in City Design, Planning, and Policy from SCI-Arc in Los Angeles. In 2011, Hassan started examining symbolic graphical elements for store frontages as alternative facade treatments that represent the nature of services being offered inside the shops. This was a step towards providing indirect advertising while preserving the local loud and decorative characters.
